      Academy of Restaurant and Hotel Management (Q29M)

      In partnership with the National Academy Foundation, students are prepared to enter the workplace as entry-level hospitality professionals, applying skills acquired to work in supervisory and managerial positions in hotels and restaurants. Students will have job shadowing, internship and paid work opportunities. Students will take the NOCTI examination and qualify for a CTE (Career & Technical Education) diploma endorsement.       Broadway Productions (Q29Q)

      Students in this program are provided with the opportunity to earn a Chancellor's Endorsed Diploma in the Arts by taking four-year sequenced courses in music, theater and visual arts. Some of the courses include band, guitar, string, orchestra, music theater, scenic design, architectural design, and many more. Students are trained in theater productions by creating their own theater in the 20th century. Our program prepares students to write, direct and perform in musicals and plays. The Broadway Productions program will give students the opportunity to perform, learn from a wide variety of instruments, sing, create sets, and learn to run theater productions. With partnerships with Metropolitan Opera, The Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, Musica Sacra, and Carnegie Hall, students will have the opportunity to perform both inside and outside of the school. Our program will prepare students for prestigious universities where their passion for music, theater, and visual arts become their reality.       Community & Culture (Q29P)

      Students in this program explore ethical, moral, cultural and legal factors that shape societies and their culture. Through exploration of society and culture and frequent field trips to major cultural institutions of New York City, students are prepared to become well-rounded individuals who have skills to serve their community. Our program teaches students critical thinking and organizational skills by offering a national college readiness program, AVID (Advanced Placement via Individual Determination). Students in this program meet daily and learn skills such as organization, note taking, and how to conduct research in order to prepare for college and career readiness. Our program offers support with college planning and attaining scholarships and provides students opportunities to participate in college tours and fairs.       Culinary Institute (Q29J)

      Our award-winning Culinary Arts Program offers a four-year sequence in culinary training. Students learn food preparation and production skills in a full-service commercial kitchen. The coursework culminates in an exam which qualifies students for a Career and Technical Education (CTE) diploma endorsement.       Dual Language Spanish Program (Q29S)

      Our Dual Language Spanish-English program is designed to integrate college-ready advanced English language proficiency with advanced Spanish language proficiency. Students receive content instruction in English and Spanish. The goal of the program is for all its students to qualify for the NYSED Seal of Bi-Literacy diploma endorsement and to satisfy Advanced Regents diploma expectations.       Global Informatics (Q29A)

      Global Informatics prepares students to use information technology to design and work with highly effective systems in the global marketplace. Real world experiences are incorporated in a rigorous computer-based program of instruction in AP Science and CTE Information Technology courses. Career opportunities: bioinformatics, data mapping, database designing, digital art, web design, software engineer, and many newer and soon to be created careers in information technology.       Global Languages Academy (Q29R)

      Students develop communication skills essential for careers in a global economy. Along with the core curriculum, students will research and investigate other countries and cultures to be a force of change and innovation in our global society. Students partner with such organizations as Creative Word Project and Repertorio Español to build cross cultural awareness and explore social justice issues impacting our diverse communities.       Sports Medicine & Health Sciences (Q29N)

      Students in this program complete sequenced coursework, with a focus on sports medicine and health professions. Rigorous instruction in Regents and AP Science courses is at the core of our program. Utilizing our extensive physical education and health clinic facility, including our Olympic-size pool and athletic field, students will have the opportunity to prepare for certification as personal trainers, first aid, and CPR.
