Dear Parents, Guardians, Students, and Members of our LIC Community,
Please be advised that in addition to students using their ID cards to swipe into the building at entry, they will also use their ID cards to swipe out. Students must carry Long Island City High School issued student identification cards at all times and will need their ID card to swipe out. If lost, students must obtain a replacement ID card, from Assistant Principal Politis in Room 142.
Parents and guardians can choose to be notified when their children swipe into and out of the building. This notification can be through email, text message or both. If you want to receive a text message, please contact Ms. Maria Cancemi, email@example.com ; Ms. Awatef Ibrahim, firstname.lastname@example.org Parent Coordinators for registration. Please note that this system is merely a notification system when students swipe in or swipe out of the building. Official attendance is taken by classroom teachers and will be reflected the next day in Pupil Path.
Please be advised that all visitors will be asked to wait outside the building until student dismissal is completed. Please see below for the 2019-2020 bell schedule for dismissal times for Period 8, Period 9, and Period 10:
